Most PUBG Mobile names you think of are either taken already or turn into a mess of symbols that nobody can read on a phone screen. It gets even harder when your whole squad wants names that match.
Our PUBG name generator creates survival, map and weapon, and squad-style names of 14 characters or fewer, which keeps them clear on a small screen. For teams, we also built a style made for four matching names.
How Do You Get a PUBG Mobile Name in Seconds?
You only need a few taps to go from an empty box to a name you can paste into the game:
- Pick a Category: Survivor & Chicken Dinner, Maps & Weapons, and Squad & Tactical each use a different set of words.
- Use Your Old Name as a Seed: Typing your current ID keeps the part people know and builds new versions around it.
- Press Generate: You get 20 names by default, and the Results Count buttons let you switch to 10, 40, or 80.
- Filter for a Word You Like: Typing a word like ghost into the Filter names box shows only the names that contain it.
- Copy the Winner: Tap Copy, and the name is ready for the Rename Card box in PUBG Mobile.
Which PUBG Name Style Should You Choose?
We wrote three word lists, because a patient sniper, a hot-drop fighter, and a team player each want a name that sounds like them.
Survivor & Chicken Dinner
Names in this style are built around making it to the final circle, with results like LastSurvivor, FinalCircle, BlueZoneGhost, and NightScout. They suit patient players who would rather outlast the lobby than rush every fight.
Maps & Weapons
These names use the maps and guns everyone knows, such as Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, the AWM, and the M416. Results like ErangelGhost, MiramarWarlord, AirdropKing, or RozhokPhantom are easy for any PUBG player to recognize, wherever they live.
Squad & Tactical
This style uses radio words like Alpha, Bravo, and Recon, plus roles like Medic, Driver, and Support. Endings from 01 to 04 make it easy to give each member of a four-player squad a matching name.
How Do You Make Matching Squad Names?
Matching names make a squad look organized, and they help random players spot that you belong together. Here is the simplest way we know to build a set:
- Select Squad & Tactical: This category has the radio words and numbered endings that work best for a set.
- Agree on One Shared Word: Choose a word the whole squad likes, such as Recon or Viper, and type it into the seed box.
- Generate a Large Batch: Picking 40 or 80 results gives you enough versions of the shared word to find four that fit together.
- Save One Name per Player: Heart four names, then use Copy All in the Saved panel to send the full set to your squad chat.
Do Symbols Work in PUBG Mobile Names?
Some symbols work well in PUBG Mobile, while others are rejected when you try to save the name. The game checks your choice when you use the Rename Card, which is why a plain backup version is always handy.
Our tool keeps every base name inside 14 characters, but a border adds characters on top. For example, xX_Name_Xx adds six characters, and that is a lot when names are this short.
Players in other regions see your name too. Plain letters display on every phone, while rare symbols can show up as empty boxes on devices that do not have the right font.
How Do You Change Your Name in PUBG Mobile?
PUBG Mobile uses a Rename Card for every name change. New players usually receive a free card early on, and after that a card costs 180 UC in the shop.
- Go to Your Inventory: The inventory button is on the main lobby screen.
- Select the Rename Card: Tap the card and choose Use to open the name box.
- Paste and Confirm: Paste the name you copied from our list, then confirm to save it.
If the game says the name is already in use, open your Saved panel here and try your next pick.
Which PUBG Name Should You Keep?
We would keep the name that your squad can shout quickly when you are the last one alive. If it reads clearly without symbols and fits on a small screen, that is a name worth spending a Rename Card on.
